- Comfortable, Fully Personalized Aligners

- Dedicated Team of Experts
How ClearCorrect® Works

In most cases, ClearCorrect® treatment only takes about 12 months, which is substantially faster than the average treatment length of traditional braces! Throughout this time, you’ll wear a series of custom-made aligners, with each set taking you one step closer to your final results. A set of aligners will need to be worn for 20-22 hours every day for about two weeks or so before you can swap them out with the next set in the series. You’ll visit us every three to six weeks so we can monitor your progress, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure your treatment stays on track.
Who Can ClearCorrect® Help?

Be honest… Are you less than thrilled about the idea of wearing metal brackets and wires? If so, we have good news: you may be able to achieve the straighter smile you desire with ClearCorrect®. Over the years, this clear aligner system has helped patients with the following orthodontic issues:
Crowded Teeth

Do you sometimes feel like you have too many teeth? This could be the result of overcrowding, which can negatively affect your appearance. Not only that, but it can make it harder to clean your teeth properly, which increases your chances of developing dental issues like cavities. The good news is that ClearCorrect® can be used to shift the teeth so that they aren’t too close together.
Gaps Between Teeth

Did you know that having gaps between your teeth can cause problems for your oral health? That’s because food particles and bacteria can easily get stuck in these spaces. Fortunately, ClearCorrect® is often an option for patients with mild to moderate spacing issues. If you’re a good candidate, then we can use a custom series of clear aligners to create a healthier and even more beautiful smile.
Overbite

Right about now, you might be wondering, “Can ClearCorrect® fix overbites, too?” The answer is often “yes.” So, don’t just assume that metal brackets and wires are your only option. If we determine that you’re a good candidate for clear aligners during your consultation, then we can use a custom series to bring your teeth and bite into proper alignment.
Underbite

In addition to being able to correct mild to moderate overbites, ClearCorrect® can address mild to moderate underbites. So, if you’re having trouble chewing properly, enunciating clearly, or smiling confidently because your lower teeth sit in front of your upper ones, let us know! That way, we can determine if the ideal solution is clear aligner treatment.
Crossbite

You’ve probably already heard of overbites and underbites, but have you heard of crossbites? This is when some of the upper teeth sit behind the lower ones. When left untreated, it can lead to TMJ disorder and also make it more likely that you grind and clench your teeth at night. That’s why we recommend exploring your treatment options, like ClearCorrect®, sooner rather than later.
Open Bite

Is there an opening between your upper and lower teeth that prevents you from biting down all the way? If so, there’s a good chance that you have an open bite. Sadly, even relatively minor cases can lead to several issues, including premature wear and tear on certain teeth. In that way, ClearCorrect® can have a positive impact on everything from your oral health to your self-esteem!
Benefits of ClearCorrect®

Oftentimes, patients are only aware of one benefit of ClearCorrect®: the fact that the aligners are virtually undetectable. While that’s certainly noteworthy, it isn’t the only perk that comes with this popular orthodontic treatment. If you are considering clear aligners for yourself, then keep reading to learn several advantages that you’ll enjoy on your journey to a straighter smile.
Shorter Average Treatment Time

Are you getting married next year? Maybe you have another important event, like a class reunion, or you would simply rather achieve the results you desire sooner rather than later. Whatever the case may be, you should consider ClearCorrect®! When compared to traditional braces, clear aligners take much less time to correct common orthodontic problems (around 12-18 months).
Fewer Progress Visits

Another noteworthy difference between ClearCorrect® and traditional braces is that there aren’t monthly adjustment appointments. Instead, you’ll be given several sets of aligners so you can progress through portions of your treatment plan at home. Then, every 6-8 weeks, you’ll come to our office for a quick and easy checkup so our team can make sure that your teeth are moving as anticipated.
Tip: Always wear your aligners to your progress visits! This will help prevent you from losing any hard-earned progress.
Ultimate Convenience

If you had metal braces in the past, you likely remember all of the rules and restrictions that they came with. Fortunately, ClearCorrect® is considerably more convenient because the aligners are removable. As a result, you can play your favorite sports, eat all of your favorite foods, and practice your normal daily dental routine. You can also take them off for special occasions, like a first date!
Basically Invisible Braces

Of course, this list of benefits of ClearCorrect® in Greenwood would be incomplete without touching on one of the most obvious ones: the aligners are basically invisible. As a result, you don’t have to worry about unwanted attention being drawn to your smile. Instead, you can smile with complete confidence knowing that your trays blend in.
Improved Comfort

Over the years, traditional braces have developed a bit of a reputation for being uncomfortable. The good news is that’s not the case with ClearCorrect® since the aligners don’t have any metal components. Instead, they are crafted from smooth plastic and are custom-made to fit the contours of your teeth perfectly, which results in a much more comfortable straightening experience.
Tip: If one of your aligners has a rough edge that’s irritating the soft tissue in your mouth, use dental wax to cover it or bring it to our office so we can carefully file it down.
Understanding the Cost of ClearCorrect

When clear aligners were first invented, they were more expensive than metal braces. As the technology improved, the costs of this treatment have gone down and are now comparable to traditional bracket-and-wire options. Individual needs can vary, which is why the only way to know for sure how much you’ll pay for ClearCorrect is by scheduling a consultation with us.
It’s also worth mentioning the long-term benefits of straightening your smile sooner rather than later. Not only will your grin be more attractive, but when you have a well-aligned bite, your teeth are at a lower risk for grinding and enamel erosion. This means less jaw pain, better sleep, a decreased need for major restorative procedures, and a generally healthier mouth. In addition to beautifying your smile, straightening your teeth with ClearCorrect can save you money in the long run and improve your overall health.
Factors That Affect the Cost of ClearCorrect

You won’t expect a set fee for ClearCorrect, since every patient’s smile is unique. There are also a few factors that can influence the price of your treatment, including:
- Severity of orthodontic issues: Having more extreme misalignment problems will typically raise the price of your treatment.
- Number of aligners needed: In some cases, a patient may only require either the top or bottom arch of teeth to be straightened instead of both, which can lower the cost.
- Length of treatment: The longer your process, the more trays you’ll need and the higher the price.
ClearCorrect vs. Mail-In Aligners: Which Costs More?

Some people may be tempted to order DIY clear aligners to save money. However, having little oversight from a professional can end up leading to more complications than you expected. Many of these issues can result in you requiring help from a dentist anyway.
With ClearCorrect, you can be sure to undergo a process where your team will work with you at every point. Your custom trays will also be perfectly made for your smile, ensuring a more successful treatment. Although it’ll come with a higher upfront value, ClearCorrect aligners will be worth every penny for achieving your dream look.
Does Dental Insurance Cover ClearCorrect?

Many insurance companies offer coverage for orthodontic solutions, including ClearCorrect. That said, every policy is different, so you’ll need to consult your provider about the details of your benefits so there aren’t any surprises. You can also speak with our team if you need help navigating your plan, as we’ll be more than happy to help you maximize your coverage.
Options for Making ClearCorrect Affordable

Even without dental insurance, patients can still explore alternative methods for saving money while straightening their pearly whites. Our practice has an in-house Dental Savings Plan that allows you to enjoy many of our services at a discounted rate, including ClearCorrect. You can also try signing up for CareCredit financing which can break up the total cost of treatment into low-to-zero-interest monthly installments. With either option, you can be less worried about breaking the bank and more focused on achieving your dream smile!
ClearCorrect FAQs
Does ClearCorrect Hurt?
This is hands-down one of the most asked questions about ClearCorrect in Greenwood. If you’ve been wondering the answer yourself, we’ll be honest: it is normal to experience some slight soreness from time to time as your teeth begin to move. Outside of that, however, your teeth-straightening journey will be smooth sailing! After all, there aren’t any metal components or monthly adjustment appointments. Instead, a custom series of clear aligners will gently and gradually align your teeth and bite until we’ve achieved the desired results.
How Long Does ClearCorrect Take?
It usually takes 12-18 months to correct overcrowding, overbites, and other common orthodontic problems with clear aligners in Greenwood. The best way to get a more precise estimate is by scheduling an appointment at our office. That way, we can get an in-depth understanding of your dental history, needs, and goals in order to create your custom treatment plan. From there, we can provide you with an estimate of your treatment timeline and share what you can do to avoid falling off-track, including wearing your trays for a minimum of 20 hours each day.
What Happens After ClearCorrect?
Once you are happy with the results, we will take impressions of your teeth so a custom retainer can be made. This usually takes a few weeks, so you will need to wear your final set of aligners in the meantime. As soon as it arrives at our office, we will make sure that it fits properly, discuss how to take care of it, and review how often you need to wear it.
Important reminder: Orthodontic relapse (the phenomenon when teeth drift out of place) happens to upwards of 50% of patients. So, it’s very important that you wear your retainer as directed, especially if you want to preserve your hard-earned results.
Is There Anything I Can’t Eat with ClearCorrect?
Unlike traditional braces, you don’t need to completely avoid tortilla chips, popcorn, whole apples, and other crunchy foods. After all, the aligners are removable! So, as long as you take them off them eating or drinking anything other than water, you can enjoy all of your favorites throughout your orthodontic treatment.
What Should I Do If I Lose My ClearCorrect Aligners?
If you accidentally misplace one of your clear aligners, it’s important that you act quickly. First, try your best to pinpoint the last place you know you had them. Then, carefully retrace your steps from there, making sure to look in both the obvious and the not-so-obvious places in the process (i.e., the center console of your car, your laundry basket, the waste bin in your kitchen).
If you’ve looked everywhere you can think of, but you don’t have any success finding your aligners, then give us a call. Over the phone, our team at Tylan Creek Family Dentistry can determine if it’s safe for you to progress to the next set in the series or if we need to begin the process of having a replacement made.
