Meet Dr. Joshua Burns

Dr. Burns has been working in dentistry since 2008. He has his Bachelor of Science from Ohio University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University. While at OSU College of Dentistry, he was actually able to combine his love of sports and dentistry as one of the student team’s dentist, he received valuable training in both sports dentistry and dental trauma.

In addition to enjoying dentistry, Dr. Burns takes great pride in his ability to build strong, trusting relationships with his patients. He has an outgoing, kind, understanding personality, and he always looks forward to converting anxious newcomers into calm, devoted patients who look forward to their appointments.

Originally from Lebanon, OH, Dr. Burns spent three years practicing in an underserved area of Ohio before choosing to move his family to Simpsonville. He and his wife Katie have two daughters named Claire and Caroline, a dog; Annie, and a cat; Simon.

In his free time, he enjoys following any sport, especially Ohio State football, being outside with his kids, hiking, boating, and fishing. Before going to dental school, Dr. Burns actually worked in highway construction for two years!
