For a while, traditional metal braces were the most plausible way to straighten your smile. Today, there are other options available, such as clear aligners. Though Invisalign may be the first thing that comes to mind for many, ClearCorrect is another viable option that can offer similar results. But how are these two treatments different? Read on to learn about how ClearCorrect and Invisalign are different from each other.

What Are Clear Aligners?

Clear aligners are trays that are made from plastic and can fix your teeth in the same way as braces. They are virtually invisible, which means that you can discreetly straighten your smile. They are also removable, which makes it easier to properly clean your teeth and allows you to eat pretty much anything without issue.

Invisalign and ClearCorrect are both brands of clear aligners. They provide virtually irritation-free orthodontic treatment with minimal discomfort. Both of these treatments work by applying gentle pressure to move the patient’s teeth into a more ideal position. Each set of aligners is to be worn for at least 20-22 hours each day. They should only be removed when the patient eats or drinks anything other than water as well as when they brush and floss their teeth.

3 Key Differences Between ClearCorrect and Invisalign

If you’re not sure about whether you want to undergo Invisalign treatment or ClearCorrect, learning about the differences between the two may be beneficial. A few key differences to consider before making a commitment:

  • Affordability – ClearCorrect is advertised as the more affordable treatment option. The cost of this treatment varies but is generally $2,000 to $8,000. Invisalign usually ranges from $3,000 to $8,000. Your unique case and treatment needs will impact the final cost.
  • Treatment time – The average Invisalign treatment time is about 10-12 months. The average ClearCorrect treatment time is about 13.5 months. Even so, this will vary depending on how severe the case is.
  • Material – Invisalign trays are made from a patented material called SmartTrack, which they claim to be much more comfortable and easier to remove than similar options. ClearCorrect aligners are made from a slightly thinner material. This makes them less visible, but it also makes them less durable.

As you can see, there are a few key differences between Invisalign and ClearCorrect. Be sure to speak with your dentist if you’re considering either of these orthodontic treatments. They will be able to help you determine which one is the best option for your smile!
